HELLO!
Does life often feel like a game of snakes and ladders? One minute you’re making real progress in areas that are important to you and enjoying a sense of being settled, then along comes that snake and you’ve landed back on your bum at square numero uno again. Although it’s never quite square numero uno, there are always silver linings (life lessons) for the taking. Even though they may seem like that unwanted Christmas gift at first, they’re exactly what you needed.
Do you find yourself hampered by insecurity and procrastination in relationships or work? Do you find that one moment you're having a CeCe Peniston, 'Finally it's happened to me...' moment and the next you're struck down by disappointment? Have you had your confidence crushed, doubted your capabilities and found yourself feeling you're just not good enough?
Yep, me too!
Hi, I’m Kelley. If you found yourself saying yes to any of the questions above, we have something in common. To the outside world, I’m a go-getter with a big smile and even bigger hair! But behind the scenes, things can be quite different. Life has taught me to disguise my feelings of sadness, anger and frustration.
Are you prone to drifting because you don’t know what you want to do with your life? Do you feel you haven’t discovered or nurtured your talents yet? Do you go after things because they seem like the sensible option, rather than the right option for you?
If you're motioning yes again then we have even more life experience in common. I know what it is to go through this, I’ve been there more than once. Cerebral palsy and dyslexia have contributed to my sense that sometimes I'm in a life-size version of snakes and ladders. It’s taken a long time for me to accept - despite pushing myself to be the fish that can climb the tree - that I’m just not wired for certain things. By becoming more in touch with who I truly am through trial and error and doing more of what I love, each day my talents become clearer and my sense of self powers up. This has helped me to bond with what it is I need to be giving to my inner and outer worlds; to find and journey the path that has my name and heart all over it. The one that’s meant for me!
One thing I’ve always been sure of is, I’m “peopley”. A constant factor in my professional and personal life is that they're people-centered. So, it was perhaps no surprise to my nearest and dearest when I told them I wanted to begin life coaching. It’s given me a steadier hand with a wider reach to support individuals with guts, grit and graciousness just like you as you work meaningful things out and into your life. Making a positive difference to you, to them, to him, to her, genuinely gets me buzzing!
Like many life coaches my story is not one of having a sudden moment where “I decided things had to change now and my life has since turned around!” Mine is an ongoing journey that I travel just like you, with guts, grit and graciousness. Like any adventure, I don’t always know where life will take me. That can be scary, but more than anything it’s exciting!
From one work in progress to another, are you ready? Great! Book your one to one chat of up to 30 minutes here.
I am looking forward to starting this journey with you,
